Our calling within this community is to continually bring the Word of God, a sense of hope, a loving spirit, and a feeling of belonging to all who enter these sacred walls. We believe that back in 1869, Shiloh was Founded in Faith, Nurtured by Hope and Preserved by Love (1 Cor 13:13). In 2019, we celebrated our one-hundred and fifty year anniversary, and continue to live by those words. Construction is finally complete on our new building adjacent to the main church.

Dr. Luther M. Bailey
In 1885, Reverend S.M. Johnson, of Alexandria, Virginia was pastoring and served for more than 30 years. In 1900 another acre of land was purchased directly across the road from the original land purchase that included a building known as the Gunston White School.
Church School Ministry
The purpose of the Church School Ministry is to develop a ministry based on the Word of God which will empower our church body and help reach out into the community to win lost souls, bring them into the local body, and disciple them for the building of the Kingdom of God.
Tutorial Program Ministry
The Tutorial Program ministry endeavors to assist students in the church and the community who are in need of tutorial assistance in the area of academics from grades one through twelve.
Preschool Church Ministry
The mission of the pre-school Church Ministry is to introduce pre-school age children to the loving spirit of Jesus Christ through day care provisions during worship services.
New Member Orientation
The purpose of this ministry is to equip the newly joined members of the Shiloh Baptist Church with both spiritual understanding and Christian policy, as they further strive for growth in Christ.
Vacation Bible School Ministry
The purpose of Vacation Bible School is to present the Word of God to members of the church and the community in order to further equip and empower the church body, and reach out to the community to win lost souls to Jesus Christ. VBS is to be used as an avenue for both edification and evangelism.
Christian Discipleship Ministry
We endeavor to develop disciples in the local church and throughout the community through the development of a comprehensive and balanced Discipleship Training Ministry. Additionally, the goal is to develop and equip these disciples so they will evangelize and disciple others through the process of spiritual reproduction.
Baptist Training Union Ministry
The purpose of the Baptist Training Union Ministry is to teach the fundamental understandings of what Baptists believe. The Baptist Training Union Ministry is designed to provide an understanding of Baptist doctrine, church history, missions and evangelism.
Scholarship Ministry
The purpose of the Scholarship ministry is to practice Christian values of love and benevolence towards the Shiloh Baptist Church youth, who are pursuing their journey in higher education in order to realize their fullest potential.

The Community Services Ministry assists other ministries advertise programs that involve the outside community. We coordinate activities between our church and other local churches and community groups and place advertisements of church events in local newspapers and on radio and television. The Community Services Ministry also publishes a quarterly church newsletter and provides all ministry input to our web services provider. We encourage outreach as something that all will do in their personal, social, work and neighborhood relationships. We engage with other churches and organizations in outreach as appropriate

THE HEALTH MINISTRY: The purpose of the Health Ministry is to develop a ministry based on God’s word which will empower all people to have healthier lives by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our mission is the outward expression of God’s love through God-given gifts and resources to meet the physical and emotional needs of all people in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This ministry includes the Shiloh Fit Club which promotes a healthy body through exercise and nutrition.

SOCIAL MEDIA/ADVERTISING MINISTRY: The purpose of the Social Media/Advertising Ministry is to provide current information about Shiloh Baptist Church to users of the internet and others. The mission of this ministry is to ensure the website is updated regularly with current events, ministry activities, prayer requests and overall information about Shiloh Baptist Church so the users of the internet can become familiar with the church. Further, this ministry ensures that events are published in the local newspaper for widest dissemination.
MISSION: The Evangelism Ministry exists to encourage and equip believers to share the love of God with non-believers and win souls to Christ. To do that, this Ministry offers training to better prepare people to share the Gospel. The Ministry host special events that open opportunities for people to share their faith and spread the good news of Jesus Christ both within and outside the walls of Shiloh Baptist Church. We will continue to provide where there is a need, first among our own Shiloh family and then extending services within the community.
BACKGROUND: The purpose of Evangelism is to develop and deploy Christians dedicated to building the Kingdom of God through Christ-centered community service, support missions, constant spiritual growth, preaching the gospel and sharing God's salvation plan with everyone.
OBJECTIVE: To fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and be Doers of his Holy Word (Matthew 25:31-43).
EVANGELISM MINISTRY AND EVENTS/SUPPORT ACTIVITIES: Quarterly Service of Prayer; Prayer Breakfast; Clothing Drive; Canned Food Drive; Diaper Drive; Feeding the Homeless at Prince William County Winter Shelter, Woodbridge, VA; Hilda Barg Homeless Prevention Center, Woodbridge, VA and Eleanor U. Kennedy Shelter; Monthly services at Envoy of Woodbridge; Envoy of Woodbridge's Christmas Caroling and gift bag distribution; Prison Ministry monthly partnership with Alfred Street Baptist Church at the Alexandria Detention Center; Prison Ministry quarterly services at the Alexandria Detention Center; and SHARE packages support for the Shiloh family and the community.
